Velocity Double/Triple points on Virgin Australia

Virgin Australia and Velocity have started a promotion offering double or triple points when flying on services marketed and operated by Virgin Australia.

Registration for the promotion, and any bookings need to be made during the period 10 August through 16 August, 2015, for travel between 1 October 2015 and 29 February 2016.

Under the promotion, travel in economy will earn double points, while travel in the premium economy or business cabins will pay triple points. As usual with these promotions, the double or triple points is based on the base earning, and does not include any points earned as a bonus, such as a status bonus. In additon, it only applies to the earning on the originally purchased fare.

The terms and conditions of the offer:


*To be eligible for the bonus Points promotion you must
register your Velocity membership number online between 12.01am AEST 10
August 2015 until 11.59pm AEST 16 August 2015 inclusive (‘Promotion
Period’). During the Promotion Period you must also book an eligible
flight and enter your Velocity membership number, ensuring it matches
the number you have registered online. Eligible flights are flights for
travel between 1 October 2015 and 29 February 2016 inclusive that are
marketed and operated by Virgin Australia on which Velocity Points can
be earned and booked in a fare class that normally accrues Points.
Codeshare flights marketed or operated by partner airlines are excluded
from this promotion. Velocity Reward Seat bookings are also excluded.
Bonus Points earned are in addition to any Points ordinarily earned and
will be applied to base Points only. Any applicable tier bonus earned
will not attract bonus Points as a result of this offer. Bonus Points
will be applied to the originally purchased fare class and any upgrades
will not attract bonus Points as a result of this offer. This offer
cannot be used in conjunction with any other bonus Points offer by
Velocity Frequent Flyer and/or Virgin Australia. For multiple guests
listed on the same booking for an eligible flight, each guest must
separately register their Velocity membership number online to be
eligible for the offer. You should allow up to 4 weeks after your
eligible activity for the bonus Points to be allocated. Normal Velocity
rules apply to retrospective claims which must be raised within 6 months
from date of flight. For successful retrospective claims please allow 4
weeks from the time the flight appears in your membership account for
the bonus Points to be allocated.
