Qantas has started off the year with a surprise – they havereduced the number of points required on Classic Reward redemptions on selected Internation Flights. The reductions affect those flights that fall within Zones 4 – 10 of the Qantas Award charts.
The changes, which come into effect for award redemptions from today, also result in reduced carrier surcharges. On some examples provided, the reduction in carrier surcharges is more significant that the reduction in points. The following table shows the changes in points required for the various zones.
