Immigration Express Path access for Platinum and Centurion American Express members

American Express continue to add to the services available to card members at Sydney Airport. Platinum (and Centurion) Card Members now have access to the fast track Express Path process through immigration and security checks on departure at the Sydney International Terminal.

Express Path access through immigration and security is normally the province of passengers travelling in a premium cabin or have a sufficiently high elite memberships status with the airline they are departing with.

American Express have extended this offer to passengers who are travelling without such a benefit being available. To take advantage of this offer, Cardholders of the relevant American Express cards need to present your Platinum (or Centurion) Card and boarding pass at the Express Path entry on departure.

Eligible cards for the Express Path Access are:

  • The American Express Centurion Card
  • The American Express Platinum Card
  • The American Express Platinum Business Card
  • The American Express Platinum Corporate Card

American Express offer cardholders a number of benefits at Sydney Airport, and this latest offer comes on top of access to the new American Express lounge at Sydney Airport.

Being a premium product, The Platinum Card by American Express does not come cheaply. However, for the price, it does include a number of benefits that may overall provide value that exceeds the cost of the card. The current annual fee for the card is $1,200. To apply for the card you will need an annual income of greater than $100,000 p.a. and be able to meet the American Express credit requirements.
