GoCatch has announced an extension of its deal with the Qantas’ frequent flyer program that will allow passengers of the goCatch ride-sharing service to earn Qantas Points. At present, the ride sharing service is only available in Sydney, however, it is expected to spread to other cities over time.
Ride-sharing is a service normally associated with Uber, however, there are other players such as goCatch in the market. Under a ride sharing service, users get a ride from a registered driver in a regular car, and bypass more expensive taxi fares.
The abiliity to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points was first announced in October last year. At that time, members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program were eligible to earn 1 Qantas Point per dollar when using the goCatch taxi hailing app.
In order to earn points, you’ll need to have an account with goCatch and be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. In order to link the accounts, you will need to add your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership details to your goCatch account to earn Qantas Points with goCatch.
